O’Callen-Smith Property Searchers is the trading name for the property finding agency set up by Nicholas O’Callen-Smith in 2006 to concentrate on the area in the heart of England traditionally known as The Shires.
This includes the counties of Rutland, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. Since then Nicholas has added Wiltshire to his search area due to its popularity with his clients. This was after a two year period working as a consultant for a similar agency that had been established nationwide for approximately 10 years. Whilst in this position Nicholas had seen a need for a proactive property finder in this region, a region that he has known for all of his life, and that is all within two hours or so of Central London. He also has first hand experience of the major independent schools within the area from his recent enquiries for his own sons.
Nicholas is particularly strong at finding the almost impossible property and uses a very strong team of associates to help him with his search. These include both business and social contacts, some who own large areas of this countryside or some who work with those who do. As part of his searching Nicholas walks the countryside and reads the Ordnance Survey maps as many people read their newspapers.
Once O’Callen-Smith Property Searchers have found the perfect property for our client they are able to help with education, leisure activities, particularly equestrian or agricultural, and all other issues for our client to be part of their new and local community. Nicholas and his team use the utmost discretion in their searching, safeguarding the privacy of both the prospective vendor and purchaser. We have regular meetings with our clients, up-dating and giving feedback from our searches. We listen to our clients’ requirements and search accordingly.
